Flipside:

The Other Side of the Blues

The "flipside" of a hit record often featured a more interesting and adventurous sound than the hit itself. Likewise, Flipside a Falmouth-based duo, aims to find the "other" sound of the blues that keeps audiences intrigued.

Bassist/singer Melissa Roberts Weidman and pianist/singer Chris LoCascio explore the connection between blues and jazz in their mix of old standards, originals and instrumentals. They do so with a healthy helping of improvisation, keeping the blues form creative and fresh. Flipside was named finalists in the 2004 Boston Blues Challenge.
